 We  Belong  To  One Family

Picture
We belong to one family.
We should love our country , countrymen and as a whole the mankind.
We should be true nationalists and true patriots .
As an Indian , I am proud  that I find the philosophy here .
As the name suggests , the origin of Indian culture is Hinduism.
Hinduism is the oldest of all religions . Nobody knows who it's founder is .It is the religion of         humanity and  global brotherhood . People of different cultures have reached India in different times . India has accepted their presence , which reflects that the world belongs to one family. The famous brotherly love between Lord Rama and Laxman has been the example of great sacrifice , which is rarely found elsewhere .
After independence from British rule , India becomes a democratic , social and secular country . The constitution of India has Indian culture as it's base .Our constitution has equal weightage and equal oppertunity for all religions .There is a very nice track record of our countrymen to accept the teachings of all religions and thereby to be liberal to all.
H.G. Wells has rightly  said  ," Our true nationality is mankind . "

The True Master

The True Masters
Once Lord Krishna , the spiritual master of Arjuna ,told ,"If God is infinite and your senses are finite ,how can something infinite be grasped by the finite ?". Then said ," I will give you the knowledge which is itself infinite ,in which the whole  creation is contained ."
So,in order to enter the door to God , we need the spiritual knowledge .
Spiritual knowledge is stored for us in the holy books like Vedas ,Upanishads ,Bible, Gita and Koran . When we study those  holy books , we understand it according to our own IQ or our mental capacities . We twist and pervert the words on our way  to extract some meaning . This way nobody can acquire the pure knowledge ,put inside it .
A teacher or a master can extract the exact meaning out of it and distribute it to us.
The important thing is to get a true master . He should be one who practices what he preaches .
One may have a teacher who teaches from books , like a first class science teacher who proves theories in a lab and his  life and characters are dubious .
But the spiritual masters are different . They don't just give us spiritual rebirths . They guide us through out our lives .
The master's lab is his life . He is  like Lord Krishna ,Buddha or Christ ,who know themselves completely .
They take their disciples where they go spiritually .They are the mediums which make the Unmanifest manifest.
It is the result of merits accumulated over many births to meet and get mercy of such a true  master .

Deepavali  -  2012

On  13th  November '  2012  ,  we  will  celebrate  Deepavali  .  Deepavali  or  Diwali  is  the  festival  of  lights  .
It  is  a  Hindu  festival .   People  celebrate  this  day   to  mark  the  occasion  of  the  home - coming  of  Lord
Rama  after  He  had  defeated  demon  king  Ravana .  On  this  day  ,  prayers  for success  and  prosperity  are
offered  to  Laxmi  ,  the  Goddess  of  wealth  . Deepavali  is  the  combination  of  Dhanteras  ,  Choti  Diwali  and
Badi  Diwali  or  Laxmi  Puja  .  Ganesha  ,  the  Lord  of  new  beginning  , is  also  worshiped  with  Goddess
Laxmi .   On  the   auspicious  day  ,  buying  of  gold  is  regarded  as  a  holy  act  .   We  also  remember  and
worship  our  fore-fathers  on  this  day  .   This  day  symbolizes  the  win  of   light  over  darkness  .
We  lit  and  decorate  our  home  with  colored  electric  bulbs  and  earthen  lamps  .  We   light  up  various
types  of  crackers  in  the  evening  . Whether  it  is  true  or  false  ,  many  people  attach  scientific  value  to  this
occasion  .  They  say  so  many  harmful  worms  are  destroyed  in  the  burning  of  lamps  .
So  many  mishaps  are  also  occurred  on  this  day  .  We   appeal  everybody  to  celebrate  the  day  with  care.
We   should  be  more  careful  for  young  children  while  observing  the  festival  ,  so that  such  a  holy  day
would  not  become  a  sad  day  .

Teachers' Day .

9/4/2012

Today  is  September 5th  (  in  India  ) ,  the  Teachers'  Day .
We  celebrate  this occasion  since  our  childhood  .
For  our  Masters  , we  are  always  students   . Teachers  build  the future  of  us .  Generally  , the  teachers  lead  simple lives  and  our  society thinks  little  of the  teachers .

Our  late  President  Dr.  Sarbapali  Radhakrishnan  advised  the  countrymen  to  stop  to  observe  the  5th  September  as  his  birthday  ,  but  to  observe  it  as  the  Teachers'  Day  . Since  the  year  1962  ,the  5th  September  is  observed  as  the  Teachers' Day , every  year  .
Teachers  teach  us  all art  and  all  sciences  . They  teach  the  manner  and  behaviors .  They  make  us  the  useful  members  of  our  nation .On  the  Teachers'  Day  , the  whole  nation  gets  a  chance  to  think  of  them .
We ,  on  this  day  ,  think  of  how  to  give  our  teachers  their  due  place  in  the  society  and  how  to  honor  them  .  We  ,  on  this  day  ,  express  our  gratitude  to  our  teachers  for  their  grand  social  service   .

How  Do We  Define  Truth  ?

9/1/2012

There are  always contradictory thoughts , we have in our  minds .

There  is  a color  "black" and  a color "white"  .   There  is " zero "  and there  is  " infinite".

And  likewise  there is  "Truth"  and  there  is  " Untruth ".

We , in the process of living on earth,  face  "birth"  and "death" .

In order to come out of  these  duality , we need the help of our Masters .

It  is  all  like  a glass  with water  ,  half full  or  half  empty .

There  is  no  clear  difference  between  wise  and  fool  or  rich  and  poor .

Time  changes them all  at  intervals .

I  come across  the following  blog  sometimes  back  .

Kindly  go  through  it .

Blog  Link     :   Is   Truth  Nonexistent  ?    (   Click  )

Still  I  might  not be right .  In order to live  and  continue our existence , we need to be optimistic .

That is the reason  why we need to believe
in Truth , Light  and God .

On  Prayer

7/20/2012

Prayer  is  the  easiest and  surest  means  of  communion  with  Almighty  .

Ingrained  in  man  is  the  spirit  of  prayer  .  In  times  of  crisis  ,  in  moments  of  anguish , in  periods  of  trials ,

the  helpless  soul  seeks  refuge  in   and  protection  from  the  omnipotent  Lord  .   This   is  prayer  .

Prayer  is  the  bridge  between  man  and  God  .

prayer  is  the  silent  expression of  infinite  gratitude  towards  God  through  ceaseless  remembrance  of

His  power  , virtue  ,  mercy  and  grace  .

In  the  earlier  stages  prayer  is  supplication  for  boons  from  the  merciful  .  In  the  later  stages  when  the

purity  of  mind  achieved  to  a  considerable  degree ,  prayer  becomes  the  silent  ,  heartfelt  longing  for

absorption  in  the  supreme  . In  the  ultimate  stage  of  self-realization  ,  pryer  culminates  in  boundless

love  and  supreme  wisdom  .

When  the  knowledge  is  gained  that  prayer  and  it's   fulfillment  are  from  the  same  source  ,  the   prayer

of  the  devotee  becomes  identical  with  the  will  of  the  Divine  .

Prayer  is  the  best  purifier .  It  cleanses  the  entire  Antahkarana .

Prayer  stills  the  mind  ,  illumines  the  intellect  ,  broadens  the  heart  and  invigorates  even  the  physical

frame  .

The  intensity  of  prayer  leads  to  silence  .  Silence  is  therefore  the  veritable  fulfillment  of  prayer  .

Do  not  imagine  that  divine  mercy  accrues  from  prayer  .

The  entire  dumb  creation  is  taken  care  of  by  the  supreme  even  without  prayer   .

Friends,
I , at my school days had some pen friends. Out of them  some are not known to me physically till now.
At that time we had radio, news paper and post as our  medium to keep us communicated.
Now  it is the age of technology.
Within a fraction of second one can communicate with thousands of friends .
My idea of making friends are refreshing with renwed enthusiasm as the modern technology advances.
I think to take my blog into such a position that we ,all friends can share our ideas at a platform like http://www.indiblogger.in or
www.facebook.com etc.

Thanks
Sisir
