The  place  is  famous for  lord  Shiva .
CHANDANESWAR
It is 8 km. from  the  sea  beach  of  Digha . There  is  a festival
observed near  the  temple  of lord  Chandaneswar , here ,
every year.
CHANDIPUR
It is 16 km. from  Balasore . Visitors come here for observing
the play  of the tide .
`KHIROCHORA GOPINATH
It is situated at a distance of 9 km. from Balasore .
The above temple has been a seat of Vaishnawite
culture for centuries .
LAXMANNATH
It is situated at a distance of 50 km. from Balasore .
The old palace , the gada of Raymahasay of
Laxmannath is the principal attraction . The temple

The main attraction of the place is the temple of
Goddess " Budarchandi . On the walls of both

It is situated in Khaira block at a distance of 48 km.
from Balasore .Lord Bakreswar Shiva is the main deity .
The temple is very old and surrounded by river
Kansabansa in all four sides .

BARPALI
It is located 25 km. south of Bargarh.It is the birth place
of famous poet Gangadhar Meher .
DEBRIGARH
It is a mountain peak in the Barapahar hills having a
height of 2267 feet. Veer Surendra Sai ,the freedom
fighter was captured here in 1864 by British soldiers .
There is a wild life sanctuary here.
DEVDARH
It is 91 km. from Bargarh .It is a beautiful picnic spot
and religious centre . There is a beautiful gorge on
the river Surangi .
GAISAMA
It is 13 km. southeast from Baragarh on the bank of
Jira river . Temple of Balunkeswar Siva , who is regarded
as one of the eight

It is the hill that Hanuman carried on his souldiers
and dropped here a portion ,on his way to treat Laxman.
KEDARNATH

famous Bara hill.Behind the temple ,the remains of
Kedarnath fort exists .
NRUSINGHANATH
It is 110 km. from Baragarh .This temple is famous
in Odisha for it's panaromic position at Gandhamardan

It is one of the important cave shrines of Lord Shiva .

On the river Kolab , situated the Kolab reservoir and the

MALKANGIRI
AMMAKUNDA
There is a natural waterfall and subsequent flow of water
forming a narrow gorge .Fishing is barred in this place,
because it is believed to be the form of Lord Vishnu in
" Matsya avatar " .
BALIMELA
It is known for the  hydro-electric project that has been
established by the Government of Odisha and Andhra
Pradesh .
MAYURBHANJA
BARIPADA
The district head quarter has the ruins of a old fort,
the Jagannath temple and the temple of Goddess
Jagadambika .
BHIMKUND
The river Vaitarini is flowing here through a
gorge  and settles down in the pool called
Bhimkund . During Makar Festival , in January
every year , thousands of people gather here to
take holy dip .
DEOKUND
It is a tourist spot  having a beautiful water fall and the
temple of Goddess Ambika .
KHICHING
Here is the temple of Khichakeswari , built entirely of
chlorite slabs . There is the temple of Goddess Chamunda
and a small museum found here .
SIMILIPAL
Here is the Similipal Tiger reserve ,the tourist paradise.
The gorgeous Barehipani of 400 mt. high and Joranda of
150 mt. high water falls are the added tourist spots .
The Ramtirtha crocodile rearing centre is worth visiting .

MAA PENDRANI
Maa Pendrani is the local deity of Nabarangpur .People
erected the temple as a tribute to Pendrani who had jumped
into the pyre of her husband .
MAA BHANDARGHARANI
Maa Bhandargharani is the presiding deity of Nabarangpur .
Here , Tuesday and Saturday are marked for special worship.
SAHIDMINAR
It was constructed as a mark  of respect to the sacrifice of
patriots of  the war of independence .

DASPALLA
It is famous for the dense jungles with wild animals and
trees , the Kuanria Dam , a deer park and the Mahavir temple .
KANTILO
On the bank of Mahanadi , it is famous for the temple of
Lord Nilamadhab , on the top of the twin hills . Lord
Nilamadhab occupies a prominent position in the cult of
Lord Jagannath . There is a permanent flow of holy water
from the feet of Lord Nilamadhab .
SARANKUL
It is famous for the  Shrine of Lord Ladukaswar , popularly
known as Ladu Baba .
SATKOSIA GORGE
The magnificient  Mahanadi gorge is famous for animals
like Sambar ,barking deer ,wild boar , leopards and Royal
Bengal Tigers . There is a place , Sitalpani , where ice cold
water is found in all seasons .
BAISIPALLI
The Baisipalli Sanctuary lies close to the Satkosia gorge ,with
a beautiful water fall alongwith the rare animals like Hornbils,
Fishing eagles , Racket -tailed Drongo, flying squirrels,
star tortoise , rock pythons ,crocodiles ,tiger,leopard ,wolf,
sambar,nilgai etc.
NAUPARHA
GODHUS
It is a water fall of 30 mtr. height . It is only energetic in rainy
and winter season. There is a temple of Lord Shiva is present
here.
RAJEEV UDYAN
It is built as a replica of Brundaban Garden . The sprinkling
water with colorful lightening is to it's beauty at night .
PATALGANGA
The perennial spring having the connection to the legend of
Ramayan attracts huge gathering of people on the days of
solar and lunar eclipse to take bath here .
SUNABEDA
Sunabeda Wildlife sanctuary is 80 km. from Nuapada .
Beniadhus water fall,temple of Goddess Sunadei ,
Kharadhus Water fall , Godhosh water fall enhance
