On  Prayer

7/20/2012

Prayer  is  the  easiest and  surest  means  of  communion  with  Almighty  .

Ingrained  in  man  is  the  spirit  of  prayer  .  In  times  of  crisis  ,  in  moments  of  anguish , in  periods  of  trials ,

the  helpless  soul  seeks  refuge  in   and  protection  from  the  omnipotent  Lord  .   This   is  prayer  .

Prayer  is  the  bridge  between  man  and  God  .

prayer  is  the  silent  expression of  infinite  gratitude  towards  God  through  ceaseless  remembrance  of

His  power  , virtue  ,  mercy  and  grace  .

In  the  earlier  stages  prayer  is  supplication  for  boons  from  the  merciful  .  In  the  later  stages  when  the

purity  of  mind  achieved  to  a  considerable  degree ,  prayer  becomes  the  silent  ,  heartfelt  longing  for

absorption  in  the  supreme  . In  the  ultimate  stage  of  self-realization  ,  pryer  culminates  in  boundless

love  and  supreme  wisdom  .

When  the  knowledge  is  gained  that  prayer  and  it's   fulfillment  are  from  the  same  source  ,  the   prayer

of  the  devotee  becomes  identical  with  the  will  of  the  Divine  .

Prayer  is  the  best  purifier .  It  cleanses  the  entire  Antahkarana .

Prayer  stills  the  mind  ,  illumines  the  intellect  ,  broadens  the  heart  and  invigorates  even  the  physical

frame  .

The  intensity  of  prayer  leads  to  silence  .  Silence  is  therefore  the  veritable  fulfillment  of  prayer  .

Do  not  imagine  that  divine  mercy  accrues  from  prayer  .

The  entire  dumb  creation  is  taken  care  of  by  the  supreme  even  without  prayer   .

There  are  very  few  people who  leave  their  foot  prints  on  sands  .  One  of  them  is  Sudarsan   Pattnaik.
He  has  magic  fingers   with  unlimited  potentials  and  with  immense  heat to  create  something  new  on  sand.

He  had  always a  dream  that he would  win  a  prize  in  any  level.  For  his  excellent  talent he  travels  many  countries  like  London ,France , Scotland , China , Holand , Singapore , Denmark and  Italy  .  He  is also  appreciated  by many for his  attractive  sand  sculpture .  Now  he became  an  international  artist .  In  the  World  Masters Sand Sculpture  Championship  held  at  Italy in  July  2001  he  represented   India  and  got

including  tourists .  Tourists  can  take  basic  7 - 10  days  familiarization  course .  The  institute   is  run
by  Mr.  Sudarsan  Pattnaik  .

With  the  upliftment  of  tourism  ,  this  wonderful  art  form  receives   a  high  prestige
and  popularization   .  The   outcome  appreciation  of  tourists  encourage  the  artists  to  do  well.  Without
any  motive  ,  these  artists   are  dedicated  their  lives   for  the   development  and  popularization  of  this  art.
By  their  dedicated  efforts  ,  they  are  able  to  internationalize  this  art  from  Puri.

Now   beautiful  gallery  on  the  beach  can  be  observed  in  the  afternoon  of almost  every day.

Change  Your  Angle  Of  Vision

When we see the sun, we call it day

And when we don’t see, we call it night.

But the Sun is there always present

And it has neither day nor night.

The Sun neither rises nor does set

But we attribute both to the Sun

We say the Sun rises in the East

And sets below the Western horizon.

The Sun emanates both light and heat.

The same light and heat for all

But countries have a hot climate

And some are not warm at all.

Mostly when we compare ourselves

With others of greater prosperity

We hesitate not even to blame God.

And accuse Him of partiality.

But we forget that material prosperity

Is not the sole criterion of comparison;

Each individual has his own individuality

Each reaps the consequence of his action.

We forget likewise to look at those

Materially much below us who are

And whose thinking is exactly like ours

When with us themselves they compare.

How can we ever imagine God

As getting pleasure seeing people suffer?

When we take credit for our achievements

Shouldn’t we take the blame in case of failure?

We are ourselves partial in our dealings

So we think God like us must partial be!

He is Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscience

And the abode of peace, Bliss and Grace is He.

We judge God with our own imperfect scale

So inadequate to gauge the Limitless

And that is why we utterly fail

That all-pervading grace to assess.

Be fully content with what you have

Think-‘Even this I don’t deserve’,

Then will your heart fill with gratitude

For the overflowing God’s love!
